Day out in Taipei City... Taipei IOI
Yup.. after being cooped up for a couple of days.. the weather was great (out-door AC).
Almost all our travels in taipei is via the public buses. Most journeys cost only NT$15 (SGD$0.70) and the most you pay is NT$30 (SGD$1.40). When you get up the bus, you check if you have to pay on your way up the bus or down. If it's Up, then you pay your NT$15 first. When it's time for you to get down, you check if the state has changed. If it did, then you pay another NT$15. (only applicable if you travel far). In Taiwan, they also use something similar to EZ-link card.
On our walk to Taipei IOI from Taipei City Hall MRT Stn.
The roads were closed that day.. they had a street carnival..
Still carrying Joanne from Taipei City Hall... she's getting to be a big girl! (15KG at last measurement)
Finally got to IOI! Posing in front of a Tiffany Tree...
While the rest of them had some coffee at Barista Coffee (good kopi!), we took the kids up to the Observation Floor.

Kids get in free if they are below 110cm.

To keep IOI from swaying.. they've got a gigantic counter-balance ball.. named Damper Baby!

We are in Taipei!
Took the sleepover flight.. kept the kids up till the plane took off (about 1:45) and fed them their milk and all 3 dozed off. About 1 hr later, food was being served with the kids being served first. Too bad the 3 of them are all asleep so only I ate their food (I was hungry... bite me) and later, also ate my own serving.
Tried to sleep....I think I did.. cause Marilou heard me snoring. Mommy was lucky as the other passenger was considerate and asked to be seated elsewhere so that she has more space. With more space, Jillian could sleep lying down across 2 seats with the rest, sleeping in their seats.
More info to come...pics first.. of our first day in Taipei.
The girls with Gong-Gong...
Gong-Gong had to work.. so we went out shopping on our own.
At Miramir (check needed), the shopping center with a Ferris wheel.
Then on the Merry-Go-Round..
