updates... it's been awhile. Sorry.

Just got back from the San Francisco about a week ago and the place hasn't changed much. I went there on a company summit event and it was great that I can finally put faces to names. That's the problem when you work with people around the world, you don't often have the chance to meet them.... meeting up, does help improve working relationships. more of such trips!

The babies are doing well except that Jared got the cough that kinda caused his running nose which then cause the phlegm in his throat which is causing much discomfort and not getting much sleep. He is recovering thou but as of today, Jillian somehow caught the virus and she too is coughing a little. Her temperature is also on the rise and she hasn't been eating well. She keeps puking out her milk. Jillian oh Jillian.. pls drink your milk then we can feed you your meds.

Here's a pic of Joanne after attending one of many wedding dinners to come.. hahaha. She had fancy pins on her head which were taken out when she was about to take a bath... and the hair still stood up! hahah..

Could not take picture of the rest as by the time I got back from parking the car, only Joanne was left in her outing dress. ;-)

More updates later... gotta run!

Love,

Day in SF

Hi all,

reporting in from SF on what's happening so far. Thanks to Tad for the excellent instructions on taking Interstate 280 North and getting off at 19th Ave and I was at the bridge already. If I trusted the stupid GPS, I think I would be lost already...

Anyway.. here's me at the vistor Vista area, the pic is a little dark cause the sun was coming from behind.

Here's a pic of the bridge showing all the cars travelling across..... traffic is not too bad. Much better than our causeway.

After this, drove a little further up the hills along Marin to get to the scenic points...

Here's me posing with the bridge as the backdrop.. very touristy hor...

Enuff of the red bridge, headed back into the city and nearly got lost... thanks to our "excellent" GPS system.

When we finally found the hotel, took a pic while waiting around...

Next.. lunch!.. by the time we got to the wharf, it was close to 2pm already.. hungry! Decided to drop back to signature place to get Clam Chowder.. Boudin's!

after lunch... the MUST go place is Pier 39. So.. here's me there...

after doing the necessary tourist things... head to rush to catch the Muni to connect to CalTrain. So here's a pic of me on the Muni...

and while riding the muni, I passed by Old Navy!!! It's the biggest store!

The ride from SF to Mountain View is around 50mins and costs about $5. The funny thing is that when the train service started, the driver did the usual annoucements but in a very airliney way....... Truly amazing... and entertaining. Show that they have pride in what they do and enjoy their jobs.. at least they seem like it.

SF is fun.. I hope I get to spend another day roaming the streets.... Jamba Juice!

Cheerio!

Daddy far far away...

Yeah... I'm away on a biz trip and I miss the family.

Can you guess which part of the US I'm in? I'll give you a hint!

Visiting the mothership is cool and you get to see how the folks around here work. First impressions, the people here are real friendly.. and they are willing to give a big "Harlow!" to you. The weather here is great.. it's like there's a 24/7 AC on all the time.. you DON'T sweat!

Dinner around here is mostly western food and the portions are HUGE! I manage to try out the Carl's Jr here and it tastes pretty much the same back home. Over in the US, almost all places provides you with the drive-thru option. Nice...

I've bought loads of stuff though from Gilroy but unforunately, it's winter time and most of the stuff here is not suitable for our hot climate. I did buy over USD$300 worth of baby stuff from BabyGap and Osh Kosh. Here's a sample shot of what I got!

Also, this is my first time driving on the "wrong" side of the road. Over in the US, the driver seats in the left seat so it's rather confusing for someone who has been driving for over 10 years seating on the right hand side. Here's a pic of the car that I'm driving..it's a decent car.. gets the job done. Fuel guzzler tho!

I will be travelling up North to SF city on Friday and I should be visiting some touristy sites... Will post more pictures when I get them. ;-) Stay tuned!
