We are "outstanding" Catholics...

Having kids, young ones is a very challenging thing. You can scold them.. and usually they either ignore you or cry. You try reasoning with them, they think you are wasting their time and again, cry if they feel if you are scolding them. So what can you do when they start making noise in Church? You bring them out and entertain them and whenever possible, try and sneak back in... but being active kids, you can't keep them still and out you go again.

For the past few weeks, I am the resident "Outstanding" Catholic cause I will not be sitting down in church (even though there are seats) cause I need to be ready to jet out of church when someone cries or starts showing signs of impatience. Just last week, all 3 decided that they wanted to be outstanding as well and so, all joined me outside Church.

Time with the Triplets...

We have been spending alot of time with the kids since Sharon's mother was away on holiday in China for a month. She's back now and we are more or less back to the old routine of the kids staying with them over at Hume during the weekdays.

Quite a lot has happened since.. the kids are walking already. Jillian was the first to walk.. amazingly, she was also the last to crawl. I guess she liked being carried around and when she got bored with that, she started to crawl.. so she could get around.. but then, she found out that walking is ever faster to get to where you want to go and quickly started to walk. Joanne, seeing that Jie-Jie is doing something new, also joined in the whole walking thing and so, the girls were soon very mobile. They would walk and walk round the dining table, play catching with one another while Jared, since he could crawl and crawl pretty well, did not really bother till later when he found out that it was actually slow to crawl and then finally only recently, decided to walk as well.

Now all 3 of them, walk wherever they liked and started to see things at a whole new level. Things that always seemed out of reach started to looked more attainable and so, things that are at their height level, started to get moved into even higher or out of sight.

Here's some random pics of the kids at home...

As you can see, they even invaded our walk-in closet.. think the girls like what they see .. but I guess it would be SO retro by they time they can fit into it...

They even like Mommy's handbags!

One of our favorite past-time activity is to head over to Ikea Tampines for lunch and there after, let the kids play around the kids section. For us, it's a opportunity for us to see what else can be done to the kids room.

While walking around, we came to the pillow section and found these $1.80 blue pillows. We took one up and handed it over to Joanne... next thing you know, you can't take it away from her.. she likes hugging it... for $1.80, it's not too expensive and decided to get 3 for the 3 of them.. once Jillian got hold of it.. she also wouldn't let it go... when I took it off her to pay for it, you can hear her screaming all the way...

Joanne with her blue pillow...

It's my precious!!!!

Jillian: Daddy.. why are you looking at my pillow as if you are going to take it away from me?

Next that followed was...WAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!

Sharon wanted to bring the kids to Sentosa to play with sand.. but with sand being a highly sought after item these days... I decided that heading over to East Coast Parkway would be easier as we could also head over to Ah-Ma's place later.

We have brought the kids to the beach before.. and they've seen the sea and all, but not actually on the beach. SO, we finally brought them down. So as you can imagine, this whole sand and waves crashing onto the shore is totally new for them and they were all very cautions of what was what.

Jared did not take much persuasion to play with the sand..a s compared to the girls.. Jillian was especially afraid.. and Joanne, again, looking at what others are doing and knowing that it was also safe to do so, also finally took to walking on the beach.

Here's Jared being embedded in sand... he does not look too happy but he's also not complaining.. so I guess that's a good sign. ;-)

Joanne here with Lea. She's checking out the whole wave scene.... safe or not safe... hmmm

Here's a pic of Jared taking a guided tour on the beach with Mary.

and here Joanne is with Lea.

and where is Jillian??? Safe with Ah-Ma! Jillian: "I don't want to go there....... looks scary! Here's with Ah-Ma.. BEST!"

Watch this space.. will be posting videos of the kids dancing!!!
