There used to be only the two of us. But in 2006, we were blessed to be parents with triplets, two girls & a boy. 2+3=5. Fantastic Five.

Mr & Little Miss x 02
So thanks to Jillian's Godpa, I've got around to print these Iron-On.

Jillian is Miss Naughty.
She's Naughty in a good way. Always up to mischief and always planning to take over the world.
Joanne is Miss Whoops.
I was looking for Clumsy.. but that character refers to a Mister. Editing it would mean changing the Mr to Little Miss and also making sure there's no mustache on the character. Ended up with Little Miss Whoops.
Jared is Mr Strong.
He got this cause he's skinny like a bamboo pole and runs alot. Maybe this image will buff him up a little more. Think optical illusion.
Love,
Mommy and Daddy

More from the Botanic Gardens...
We were there with Grandparents...

With ION orchard just opened this week, best is to stay away crowded places. (#flu #h1n1)
Jared having a blast running everywhere.. (without as constantly reminding him not to "anyhow" run)

Jillian having a go at it as well...

Joanne is more into capturing the moment...

(like this mommy... so simple!)

And here's some random shots of Jared.

Updates!!!
First of all.. sorry for the lack of posting. Blame FaceBook!
Really.. now that FB has become part of our social lives... (and Twitter), you can't really social network enough!
Anyway.. blogs have it's benefits in that the content is as what is expected it to be. FB is aggregated content and if you don't check it frequent enough, you don't get to see updates of some of your friends. This is worse when you have "spammers" in social circle and their updates overwhelm other casual updater.
SO anyway... the family.. considered that it's been awhile since we visited Botanical Gardens.. and we had blessings from the God for good weather, we all set of for a nice picnic at the Gardens.
Daddy also has a new toy and so the pictures you see here, were taken on the iPhone 3GS using Apps (CameraBag, OldCamera and Photogene). All effects are done on the phone with editing as well! the phone is indeed one of the better Smartphones available today.. if not the best!
Enough talk, more pictures.

Here's Jared shot with a "1976" camera.

Another shot of Jared.. now with a dark-edged effect. Nice!

And here's one with Jillian enjoying Grandma's excellent Fried Rice.

To end of the series, here's a shot of tranquility... before we arrived and caused kaos in the park. haha

Lov,
Mummy and Daddy.

Hmm....headache
Sometimes I think I don't know how to handle the trio. It's tough, as parents we tend to take sides, we shield our favorite one, we don't see who started 1st and we conclude that this one started it by virtue that he or she is naughtier than the others. "not fair", u occasionally see one of them cry "foul". Sometimes I even punish the wrong one. Actually, the truth, most of the time all 3 had apart in being naughty, they gang up together to be naughty all at the same time. It's like having 3 of them run in different directions and u don't know who to go after 1st. I wonder if parents of triplets feel like I do.
I have to out smart & out talk all 3 most of the time, they even interrupt you when you scold another or even some times adding fuel to fire.....
They grow up together, been with one another since day 1 in the womb, they really know one another very well.... Better than I can imagine! The bonding that they share. Amazing to watch but difficult for parenting.
At the end of the day, not sure if my way works.... I really wonder... =( So how?... do your best & leave the rest to GOD?
Sigh.......I think this seems to be best for now... we'll see as I go along... no right or wrong, just improve alone the way....
Luv,
Mommy

A day @ the Zoo.....
Spent another day at the Zoo with the Trio today, has been awhile since we went.... it was crowded, due to the school holidays. The last time we were at the zoo, the trio were just over a year old...
This time round, they know more animals & we walked around a little more.... and as usual they love the Penguin & Sea Lion show the most, it just fascinates them, and this time round they managed to play at the kids pool area...
Joanne was the 1st to jump into the pool & played with the water slides on her own, which surprised me, as usually she's the timid one, Jared & Jillian tend to be more "garung" most of the time... but guess not this time...=) way to go Joanne! I guess u like the water & pool activities very much...
Jillian took a much longer time to warm up to the pool activities, I guess she noticed that Joanne was having a fun time running up & down the various pool, fountains & sliding up & down, she too joined in the fun....
Jared hardly went into the pool area at all, he doesn't like the cold water.... he's like that from young... too bad Jared, if you want to have fun, you'll have to bear the cool water... anyway, it was a HOT day, such a nice way to cool down...
Told Gene(away on Reservist) that we should come by again another day when it's not so crowded (ha.... on a school day, less kids around)... then maybe this time, Jared & Jillian will have another go at it.
In all, everyone had FUN......!

Everyone.... together with Ah Meng.....

Jared: So daddy... tell me more about this flat screen TV you're looking at.

Boys will be boys...
Mommy's heart aches today... =(
Jared fell down and has a cut on his chin... not a very deep one, but still...... sigh... all the blood & tears....
Have told him many times not to run, not to climb, not to jump up & down... and true enough.... accidents happen...and I'm not fast enough to catch him or shield him from it....
Sigh...heartache ah....
What can I say but "Boys will be boys......!"
=(

Mommy has some thoughts....
It has been awhile... sometimes not sure what i would like to update here... they have grown up so fast...
So... here I go.....
The trio are currently at the "I want" stage... everytime they say "I want"... means "I want"... they don't take a No for answer... they are also aware of their temper, they will throw their tantrums when I say No... and it can go on for awhile ... to the point that it's who gives in 1st... usually I stick to my decision when I'm at home... but it gets pretty embarrassing when they are making a din at the mall ... then usually I will give in... Do all 3 year old go through this stage... maybe...for some.
Jillian is quite fierce at times.... she is pretty harsh on her Sis & Bro... going around pinching or scratching them... Joanne is a milder... but can be quite a bully at times... Jared is hyper... he's always running around, climb here & there, jumping up & down. Their favorite activity is to watch TV & dance to their favorite tunes... so cool to watch them shake their butts... hahaha.
The trio are more conversant now, you get plenty of questions..."What, when, who why....." etc.. They even take on the role of asking what are things instead of me asking them... so cute... they prefer to ask the question & I tell them what it is then vis verses... a couple of months was Mommy asking the questions & they're tell me what it is... they sure learn fast...
Mommy has also become quite kiasu... I started them on Mandarin classes, as both our "Mandarin" cannot make it... =) All return to teacher already.... mine is still quite ok, but Daddy can join the trio for class... kekeke... but it's nice to pick up the language again & watch the trio pick up simple words... of cos at this stage... they memorise.. "Flash Card" style, but at least (hopefully), I start them young now, they will be able to cope later.. class is not too bad, teach them songs, dance & rythms. Class is very different now, they actually show them real examples (they each brought home a pack of vegetables when they lean the word "CAI").... & they use "learn thru play" methods... which makes it interesting... at least they can relate some of the words that they learn...
Looks like some thots have become... too many...
Got to go.. more to come
Luv Mommy

And so.. Jared says.
Jillian: Daddy.. what is that...
Dad: (Driving the car... trying to focus on driving and can't really see at which object she was pointing to.).. which one?
Jillian: there.... that one!
Dad: which one? (stalling for time)
Jillian: there.. there!
Dad: (at this point, I'm wondering it can't be a stationary object and it has to be something that is moving at the same expressway speed as us... and still looking around) what is it Jillian.. which one?
Jillian: There!!! (Can sense she's getting frustrated)
Jared: That's a tree..... (trees planted along the sides of the expressway and it's zooming past us as we drive along the expressway)
I guess Jared was getting annoyed a Jillian's questions and at my inability to provide an answer. Jillian did not ask anymore questions then.

Happy Birthday!!!
Yup... 3 years old and a lot more fun!
This year, we celebrated the triplets Birthday at home.. i.e. Sengkang. We invited the Ah-Gong & Ah-Ma, the God-Parents and a few close friends...
The party started at 1pm but the real work started very early in the morning with Mommy and Daddy getting all the stuff ready and with the Tita's helping as well. Tita-Mary did most of the cooking.. with laksa for the older generation and macaroni for the young ones.
Slowly guests started arriving and noise of kids running and screaming from our cozy apartment can be heard from downstairs. :-p
The trio was so happy.. running here and there and did not even notice that by the time everyone went home. it was close to 6pm!
After all the fun was over.. the next best thing to do after playing and easting is to sleep! They slept at 6:30 and did not wake up till 7:30 the next morning!
What a fun day!
